It is my deep honor to invite my multi-talented friend, Yuanhui Chen, to share her thoughts and insights on Gentleness. I’ve previously interviewed her as a Children’s Voice Facilitator and Human Design Manifestor in this write-up here.

She wrote an insightful Facebook post, complete with this childlike painting (see the featured image above) of a man writing the Chinese character, 柔, which means ‘soft’ or ‘gentle’.

It’s very fascinating how Yuanhui connects Gentleness to the Tao Te Ching — 道德经. Here’s part of what she wrote:

“…Lao Tze speaks about how “gentleness could curb that which is strong and forceful” …

And as I trace back on how these shifts were made possible, it was through me meeting my client, my friend, my children
where they were at,
having no expectations on where they should and shouldn’t be,
acknowledging their beingness,
being gentle.

~Yuanhui Chen

It takes so much courage to be aware of these expectations and to truly let go of them so that minimal pressure is being placed on the other person. Can you imagine how your life will…
