Time to Lose Some Weight So I Can Attend That Wedding Dinner

My cousin is getting married in three months, and I’m thrilled for him! And almost immediately after knowing about this joyous occasion, I’m told by my mother, husband, and my critical self-talk that I should start losing weight to look slimmer and prettier when I attend that wedding.

Usually, there’s some renewed motivation in losing weight. It’s an exciting project, and I can do it!

But now, especially after reading Agnes Louis personal sharing and wisdom in this article, I’m starting to see how harsh I’ve been to myself in this situation.

I see how I don’t feel beautiful enough to be seen by my relatives and photographed at such a grand occasion.

I see how I’ve been wrapping myself in comfortable and shapeless clothing because I don’t feel proud of the way my increasingly chubbier body looks and feels now.
